I create with both pixels and pencils. Whether I’m designing, {coding}, or arting, my job here is to make the web a little more friendly (and a lot more functional).

Bytes

Being an artist at heart, I found my passion for web technologies after enrolling in the Web & Digital Media program at Waukesha County Technical College. I was able to combine my love of computers and technology with my love of art to find a career in Front-end Web Development.

When i’m not sitting in front of the computer I can be found trying out a new recipe, scavenging for intact garden gnomes, shouting “Wuld Nah Kest” whilst over encumbered, cuddling with the puppies, crocheting anything that looks fun on Pinterest, dabbling in fine arts (and sometimes not so fine arts) or binge watching Netflix.

Experience

Almon Inc.

FrontEnd Developer

June 2017 - Feb 2025

Overview
I designed and developed interactive web experiences from trade show booths to eLearning modules and technician training tools.

Beyond building front-end solutions, I also maintained and upgraded key web infrastructure: websites, internal portals, asset libraries, and testing environments. In 2024, I led the migration of all company assets from AWS to A2 Hosting, proposing the transition with detailed research, timelines, and cost savings.

Web Interactives
Think interactive schematics, 360° model rotators, and dynamic component ID systems. I used tools like Illustrator, Animate, Photoshop, and VanillaJS to craft hands-on training assets that made complex technical information accessible and enjoyable to use.

In 2019, we reinvented our Interactive Schematics from the ground up. Working directly with clients, we mapped out pain points, filtered through hundreds of manuals and CAD files, and brainstormed a new, streamlined way for technicians and sales teams to find what they needed faster.

The Angular Project
In 2021, I spearheaded a major upgrade: moving our custom interactive codebases from VanillaJS to a modular Angular system.

The goal? Reduce programming hours, streamline asset updates, and empower more teams: Multimedia, Content Dev, Animation.

Result: Programming time dropped to approximately 2 hours per schematic, including testing. Full codebase setup (branching, asset prep, deployment) averaged 5 hours. We expanded the system to support not just schematics, but 360° rotators, component ID systems, and animated walkthroughs built with AfterEffects for faster client turnarounds.

Evol Marketing

Web Developer

May 2016 - Jan 2017

After graduation, I migrated from Intern to Web Developer. With WordPress being at the heart of development I got a chance to fly in the face of danger almost daily. Okay, well maybe not danger, but I definitely got to play outside the box. I enjoyed utilizing the core functions of pre-packaged frameworks and plugins, and also overwrote their built-in/default styles, to meet the requirements of a project. A little bit of CSS, with a dash of jQuery, is all it takes. Deep down, it is all about the CSS.

Web Intern

Jan 2016 - May 2016

Internships are designed for students to be awesome and show off all the skills they have acquired. Evol Marketing had a need for someone with PHP knowledge to dive head first into the back-end of WordPress. I was able to produce what the clients requested by: customizing theme and plugin templates, adding functions to access (or hide) post meta data, and create side bar areas with dynamic content to fill large white areas within the theme. I also learned a ton about pianos.
